Date: 11 February 2022
Duration: 5 minutes
Venue: Studio 2, Goldsmiths, University of London
Collaborated Artists: Emilia Schlosser, Shuyi Gao, Rachel Fenn, Jessica Beechey, James Hammond,Theo Zhykharyev
Genre: Interdisciplinary Performance
The project is concerned with the ephemeral nature of memory, particularly the fractured and unreliable state of childhood memories. Eight from sonic arts, performance making and dramaturgy writing artists/students made this Interdisciplinary performance together. This performance aims to create a multisensory embodiment of the troubled space of memory, exploring how clarity and certainty are out of reach and the recapturing of a moment in its entirety always impossible. The title was from the poem I wrote before, which was about my mother. The sound is made by three sonic artists: Jessica Beechey, James Hammond and Theo Zhykharyev. They collected and recorded our rehearsal sound with leaves. Me and Emilia(in MA Performance Making major) developed the structure and movements of the performance. The dramaturgy artist finished this performance text.
