Time and Water is my personal project in WORKING IN PROGRESS: PERFORMANCE EDITION EVENT.
This artwork is a body art performance based on the research of the relationship between time, Water and the body. The whole concept of this body art performance was developed from my thinking and understanding of Water and time: In time, life is changing and transmigration.
"My" time, real-time, fictional time, what kind of time do "I" exist now? Can my life leave its trace in the turning of time, or is my feeling of time just a feeling? Perhaps each of "I" is just a traveler of time. During my personal research and practice, I am always interested in exploring how to develop a simple material/ object from daily human life in the performance process. As a result, I showed my exploration of the water process to the public and attempted to engage in "leaving empty" in this process to emphasize all participants' individual authentic experiences.
During my personal research and practice, I am always interested in exploring how to develop a simple material/ object from daily human life in the performance process. As a result, I showed my exploration of the water process to the public and attempted to engage in "leaving empty" in this process to emphasize all participants' individual authentic experiences. During the performance, I focused on showing my thinking of how I developed my understanding of time with Water in my present feeling of Water, how I gave out each of my movements with Water, how I reacted with the Water and let Water respond with me at the same time to the public instead of focus on how to let people understand what the meaning of my every movement was and showed a result of my thinking. Finally, when the whole white cloth was covered with water traces, I ended the performance, leaving the wet white cloth in the venue to become dry naturally.
